We know events are a top priority for our community because of the benefits they bring.

In particular, communities recognise the benefits of connection and social cohesion and the economic benefits that events deliver.

Last year we asked the community for feedback through tailored surveys. You can find the results of these surveys in the survey synthesis on this page.

Council plays an important role in delivering events, but also provides advice and support for a range of events and activities which are organised by community and external organisers across Central Goldfields.

The Strategy clarifies the roles of Council, community and event organisers and will establish a consistent approach for Council’s support.

The new strategy will be a four-year guiding, document that aligns with the aspirations of the Council Plan.
