To outline key objectives, priorities and actions required to guide future decision making and investment in walking and cycling infrastructure throughout the municipality.
To provide Council with a practical and strategic framework for improving walking and cycling connectivity through the delivery of missing links and supporting infrastructure across the municipality.
To improve the safety, accessibility and attractiveness of walking and cycling throughout the municipality.

Does this draft strategy commit Council to spend lots of money?
No, the Strategy itself does not commit Council to any future capital expenditure. Any infrastructure projects or initiatives identified within the Strategy will be subject to future budget considerations, funding opportunities, and separate Council approval processes.
